Garbage Pail Kids debuted in the mid-1980’s as a parody trading card series created by Topps. Known for their gross-out humour, mocking illustrations, and rebellious tone. ORIGINAL SERIES (1985-1988)
The original Garbage Pail Kids series launched in 1985 and quickly became a cultural icon. Produced by Topps, the original series ran between 1985-1988 and sparked widespread controversy with some schools banning the cards all together. Despite this, the series gained massive popularity and remains the most nostalgic and sought-after era for collectors today.
FLASHBACK SERIES (1985-1988)
The Flashback series launched between 2010 and 2013, marked Garbage Pail Kids’ return after a long hiatus.

CHROME SERIES (2013-PRESENT)
The Garbage Pail Kids Chrome series, introduced in 2013, re-released classic artwork using modern printing techniques. These cards featured glossy finishes, metallic effects, and premium packaging, elevating the original designs into a high-end collectible format.
The Chrome series continues to expand, preserving the original artwork, layouts and humour. It acted as a bridge between the vintage era and the brands modern revival.
